Appreciative Class

Stone Age Day Part 2!

We were lucky enough to travel back in time and meet some Stone Age hunter gatherers! They invited us into their home to see how they make fire and use tools made of stone, bone and antlers. The children had a go at scraping animal hide, drilling holes into bone and handling arrows made with flint. It was an incredible experience!

Stone Age Day!

Year 3 had a fantastic time being prehistoric people during our Stone Age Day. We built shelters and bows and arrows using logs, sticks and twine, and even had a go at making fire! We learnt that fire was essential for life during the Stone Age. In class we recreated Stonehenge using shortbread biscuits, learning about the different types of stone used and what archaeologists think it was built for. What an amazing day!
