Summer Term

The United Kingdom!

Our first topic of the Summer terms was 'The United Kingdom'.

We began the term with a visit from The Tate Museum, following up on the photography project we are part of. We took part in different workshops, and by the end had created a vault we can keep and open when we are in year 4. Here are some of the selfies we took that day:

We've learnt all about how the UK government works and applied this within school. We wrote campaign speeches that we read to the class, then we voted for our class MPS. We also made a class party manifesto and used this in a Year 3 debate and election. Proud Party won! We've also looked at the history of Britain, visiting Chislehurst Caves and exploring the land use.
