We had a visit from a truly inspirational individual today, Jim Plunkett-Cole (Jim Gump); runner, triathlete, campaigner and lover of the outdoors. He preached the benefits of daily exercise and had many wonderful stories about his adventures around the world. After assembly, we joined the whole school and Jim for a run around the school field, high-fiving other classes as we went, before a school photograph at the end. On Friday we are going to write a recount of the visit for our Big Write.

We had a great RE day today learning about Hinduism. We were lucky to have a Hindu visitor talk to us about Diwali which also happened to be today. Some of us were chosen to dress as characters from the story of Sita and Rama.

Year 4 had a fantastic trip today to the historic Hampton Court Palace. We looked around the apartments of King Henry VIII and took part in a workshop learning to use artefacts and evidence to form opinions about the past. It was a great trip.

These are the Year 4 class timetables for this year.

We have started reading our Creative Curriculum text, 'Tudor Tales' by Terry Deary.
