Year Six

Autumn 2 - Crime and Punishment

This half term, we will be learning about Crime and Punishment. We have an exciting visit to the Royal Courts of Justice where each class wil take on the roles of members of court to act out a court room drama. We have taken time and write our own court room dramas based on last terms novel, 'Holes' by Louis Sachar.

Autumn - Wild Wild West

Autumn - Wild Wild West 1 Karl trying a Native American head dress
Autumn - Wild Wild West 2 Adventurous Class by the Horniman's Totem pole

In learning about the Wild West, we visitied the Horniman museum, read 'Holes' by Louis Sachar, and made our own dream catchers and Tipis. We studied the geographic location some Native tribes and learnt a bit about their customs.

We were impressed with how much care they took of the buffalo they hunted to ensure they used every part of it and also ensure they never died out.
