The Stone Age
This half-term Year 3 are studying The Stone Age! We will be learning how early man lived and the history of this vast timeline. We will make our own cave paintings and investigate the mysteries of Stonehenge. Visit here again to see what we have been up to!
Year 3 had the most amazing day pretending to be hunter gatherers, trying out activities like firing real bows and arrows, building shelters, making cave art with mud and berries, and creating their own mini Stonehenge models. The children saw how flint would have been used to start a fire, and ate fish cooked over the flames. They also had a go at whittling a piece of willow to make a spear. Although they really enjoyed themselves, the children agreed that modern life is much easier than being a hunter gather!
