Diversity Week

Diversity week is one of the cornerstones of learning here at James Dixon. We love this opportunity to celebrate our school community in a genuinely meaningful way.

We have to pack plenty into three days, so please read carefully so that your child doesn’t miss out.

Parents and carers, this is your opportunity to be a part of diversity week. This year we are creating a collection of ‘Suitcase Stories’. These will be short videos of adults explaining how they came to live in London. Please click here to participate. All videos must be emailed to the school office by Wednesday 6th October 2021.

Tuesday 19th October

We invite all James Dixon pupils to wear clothing which represents their country, culture or ethnicity. This could be an entire outfit or colours which represent your flag anything from pearly kings and queens to kente print. All are welcome. The only thing we ask is that children do not wear football kits.

Wednesday 20th October

We believe that the teaching of RE has never been more relevant. On R.E day, every pupil will enjoy an exciting and engaging day with insights into the diverse beliefs & opinions held by people today. It will help your child with their own personal development & supports an understanding of the spiritual, moral, social & cultural questions that will surface again & again in their lives.
